What is the difference between Pedorthic footwear and footwear at other stores?
Susprisingly many brands that we carry can be found in other stors. We are trained as pedorthist.
1. Recommend the footwear that will be the best fit for the customer.
2. Evaluate the foot mechanicall and recommend additional support (over the counter, heat molded or custom) to achieve maximum comfort.
3. Recommend footwear not only on brand but the design that will maximize comfort at work, during exercise or for casual wear.
Do I need a prescription to visit your store?
No, we are not only trained to fit and make prescription footwear, we also put that same knowledge to use in our retail business. Prevention is the key to success in foot comfort and we strive to address the mechanical faults in the foot that may lead to future foot pain.
How do you know what the right shoe is for my foot?
There are tons of choices in footwear today, but we have been trained and are continually educating ourselves on all the choices. There are several basic things we look at in comfort footwear. 1) stability, 2) materials, 3)fit and finally, 4) ability to be altered. The footwear is the framework and essential in our ability to acheive a comfortable foot.
